Haida Gwaii Tourism Association ( HGTA )
The Haida Gwaii Tourism Association is a group of Island individuals and on-Island businesses catering to the tourism needs of Haida Gwaii / the Queen Charlotte Islands.
The Board consists of a core executive consisting of a President, Vice-President, secretary and Treasurer, along with representation from each of the Island's seven communities elected from the general membership at an Annual General Meeting.
Mission Statement of the Haida Gwaii Tourism Association:
Working together to plan and promote visitation to Haida Gwaii in such a way that benefits all communities, while protecting and enhancing the culture and lifestyles of all islands peoples, in a sustainable and friendly manner.
The Haida Gwaii Tourism Association supports the 5 elements of the Haida Gwaii Heritage Tourism Strategy which are:
- The relationship between healthy ecosystems and our way of life
- A deep and profound respect for Haida culture.
- A strong determination to preserve our unique island way of life
- An inspired relationship to place
- Community integrity and the importance of that which is local
The Haida Gwaii Tourism Association is the Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) for Haida Gwaii the Queen Charlotte Islands and will make every effort to uniformly promote the Islands and its Tourism infrastructure as a Destination in adherence with the above mentioned principles and developed strategic and marketing plans.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is limited to individuals and businesses owned and/or based on Haida Gwaii / Queen Charlotte Islands.
Membership is $50 per year for businesses and $20 for individuals through each calendar year.

Members are fully linked to the HGTA website with increased content.
Receive a discount in all web and print advertising contributed to by the HGTA and
Inclusion in all marketing programs and strategies arranged with our industry partners including the Northern British Columbia Tourism Association.
